JIntegra generates Java classes that you use to talk to your COM objects. You would run a little utility (called com2java) on your windows box. Com2Java reads the COM object .dll and generates java class files. You take the generated Java classes and put them on the as400 where your Java application resides. Thats it, your done. Your Java application can now talk to the COM objects. By the way, it works both ways. Your COM objects can talk to your Java applications (even though the Java application is running on the as400). Since it is 100%java, your Java application can be anywhere. Server piece on the win2000 box, but a client piece that can run on the as/400, So i can run my programs on the as/400, but use the com componets, from the win2000 when needed... ie: Retrieve status from winfax, and generate Excel and Word Documents...
