DataQueue data conversion problem

Hello,
and RPG program write some records to a DTAQ, at the end of the group write a 
contol record containing '@@@'.
The DTAQ is read from ajava pgm on the AS/400.

Now this work fine on MNCS versions of OS/400 (German, Italian, French) or US, 
all with CCSID=500, DO NOT WORK on a system with 
OS/400 in German (NON MNCS) with CCSID 273.
Stange chars are returned.

How can I solve this ?
