I am working with OS/400 V5R1 and JDK 1.3.

It seems that the "extension" jars for JDK 1.3, such as db2_classes.jar,
actually reside in

/QIBM/ProdData/OS400/Java400/ext

and that there are symbolic links to them from

/QIBM/ProdData/Java400/ext
and
/QIBM/UserData/Java400/ext

I have a number of other extension jars that I must install on the iSeries.
Where do I put the jar files and do I have to create those links? i.e. Do I
have to do it the same way as I described?

Can I just put them in /QIBM/UserData/Java400/ext? My reason for wanting to
put them there is so that they would still exist after a system upgrade. It
is my understanding that UserData is where I am allowed to change things and
ProdData is to be reserved for IBM to change things.

Thank you,
-Marty
