Patrick, What I do is in the default constructor, I add a few lines to set the stdout & stderr to files instead of the QSH environment. If you change these settings, the QSH will not come up. Here is the example: // do the actual work setting the STDOUT & STDERR files System.setOut(new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream(outfile))); stdoutpath = new String(outfile.getAbsolutePath()); System.setErr(new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream(errfile))); stderrpath = new String(errfile.getAbsolutePath()); Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patrick Townsend" <patownsend@patownsend.com> To: <Java400-l@midrange.com> Sent: Sunday, January 12, 2003 5:08 PM Subject: How to supress logs This should be pretty simple, but I'm not getting how to do it. I've searched the archives with no luck. Perhaps someone here can help? When I run a Java application on the AS/400 (RUNJVA) it always shows the Java session in a scrolling window. When the Java application is complete you have to press Enter to exit the session. I would like to completely hide the Java session and avoid having to hit enter. Any thoughts?
