Hello everybody,

There are batch CPW and interactive CPW values for each IBM AS/400 model and
processor group, which is supposed to somehow indicate machine performance.

Can anybody tell me how to compare CPWs and how do they relate to actual
performance?

E.g. machine 1 is 270, processor group P05 => bCPW=150, iCPW=25.
Machine 2 is model 270, processor group P10 => bCPW=370, iCPW=30.
As I can see, my Java jobs are running as BCI (batch immediate) type.

Does it mean that Java program running on machine 2 is 370/150 ~= 2.47 times
faster than the same program running at machine 1?

Thanks for your attention,
Timur
