The command CRTJVAPGM is used to optimize a java class file for the iSeries. You do not compile a .java file into a .class file using this command. In order to create a .class file, you must either compile it in the QSHELL environment or on another machine. You then create a java program using the CRTJVAPGM against the class file. Your command will then look like this: CRTJVAPGM CLSF('/webapp/equation/CustIDBean.class') Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Raikov, Lo" <Lo.Raikov@MISYS.COM> To: <JAVA400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 5:07 AM Subject: FW: CRTJVAPGM > I'm trying to create a Java program with CRTJVAPGM command and it fails: > > > CRTJVAPGM CLSF('/webapp/equation/CustIDBean.java') > Unable to create Java program for "< on/CustIDBean.java" > > I'm at V5R1 and I have multiple JDKs (1.1.8, 1.2 and 1.3) installed.
