The command CRTJVAPGM is used to optimize a java class file for the iSeries.
You do not compile a .java file into a .class file using this command.  In
order to create a .class file, you must either compile it in the QSHELL
environment or on another machine.  You then create a java program using the
CRTJVAPGM against the class file.  Your command will then look like this:

CRTJVAPGM CLSF('/webapp/equation/CustIDBean.class')
