java.sql.SQLException: [PWS0002] Function completed successfully

Has anyone ever seen the above error, or anything like it?  The client
that is reporting it (the same one with the many database connections,
FWIW) are updating a log file on the AS/400 from our product (which is
running on Solaris, I believe), and they say that they've started
getting this message since they built some logicals over the log file to
improve SQL performance.

It looks like a bug in the toolbox to me (the database manager is return
a "successful" message and the Java class is interpreting as a failure
and throwing an Exception containing the message text) but I can find
nothing on the web about it.
