RPG & Java interactions

Does anyone have any examples of RPG calling Java that they would share?  I
have reviewed the JavaMail programs and I have reviewed the documentation
from IBM (Websphere Development Studio: ILE RPG Programmer's Guide Version 5
SC09-2507-04).  The JavaMail example is basic and only provides basic
interactions between Java and RPG.  The Programmer's Guide is not only
confusing, but the examples do not compile (especially in the area of JNI
interactions and freeing resources).
