Well this is by far the most active I've seen this forum since I've joined... Our first Java application on our iSeries was a little program that reads a CSV file on a customer's web site and updates some PF's on our iSeries. Most of the code we got from sample code on the IBM web site so we didn't develop anything from scratch -- but it provided a start into Java programming. Sometimes just starting is the hardest part. I don't see any need to rewrite most of our business logic -- where we are starting to look at Java vs other technology is for web development. Should we be developing web apps running on our iSeries in Java or continue to use net.data(a rhetorical question really) -- we haven't made a decision yet. Bob
