Hi -- basically a newbie here learning Java and the Toolbox so have patience... I'm retrieving data from an iSeries file using JDBC with the end result to display in a browser. There are a couple date fields in the file with the data in yymmdd format, the fields are 6,0. I need to convert these dates to display in mmddyy format in the browser. There is an RPGLE routine we use in other cases that converts from *YMD to *USA format. I've been looking at either calling that RPGLE program from my Java program, using the DateTimeConverter class from the toolbox, or using Java to manipulate the date as a string. I can probably figure out how to do all three but I do have a couple questions: My first being what are the performance implications of the three options I'm considering ? Regarding calling an RPG program from Java, how should I format the parm to be input to the RPGLE as a 6,0 value ? Similar question regarding using the DateTimeConverter class -- I have a String containing the yymmdd value in my Java program. How should I format that to be a valid input to the DateTimeConverter class? Thanks in advance... Bob
