isUserInRoll() returns false if the user has not been authenticated. Perhaps the HTTP method for the servlet is not protected. If so then the user making the request will not be authenticated and isUserInRoll() returns false. Currently we secured our pages within the WebSphere interface. The problem we are experiencing is the user that signs on is in the role assigned to him, but on some pages when we check if IsUserInRoll it returns a false. Does anybody have any suggestions.
