Reference Counting Error

I am using Websphere 3.5.3.  I am devloping a MVC application with multiple
serlets and JSPs.  In the websphere test envronment, I get this error on
unpredictible basis:

Error 500
An error has occured while processing
request:http://localhost:8080/servlet/ClaimsEntryServlet
Message: Server caught unhandled exception from servlet
[ClaimsEntryServlet]: Reference counting error

Can any shed some light to the nature of this message?  Sometimes my system
works without pause and sometimes I get this message at different points of
execution
