If you use the com.ibm.db package (the IBM databeans) to access
the database you can use a method on the connection to know
what separator using (. or /)

It is getCatalogSeparator()

hi,

i got a problem accessing the database from a servlet. my problem lies
in the syntax of the sql statement.

if i write:

select * from lib/file

i get the error: class java.sql.SQLException SQL5016 Qualifizierter
Objektname <myfile> nicht gültig. (in english something like: Qualified
objectname <myfile> is not valid.)

else if i write:

select * from lib.file

then i get the error class java.sql.SQLException cursor position not
valid.

what am i doing wrong?
