Joel,

On a local system, I use the native JDBC driver from JTOpen
and specify something like:

jdbc:db2://localhost;naming=system;libraries=,mylib1,mylib2;translate
binary=true

To use this you need to set up your classpath with the native jar
from JTOpen. Here is a link that gives more information:

It shouldn't be any of these issues... this is the system's own IP
address.
Maybe you cannot refer to itself this way?
