Dave,

The code that I posted and the original code do not match. I did make some
tweaks yesterday. But you were right. Now the row number is still 1. The
column count in the debugger is 5.
That is when I am getting the exception. I think I am using the wrong
values.

Here is the code where it is happening:

dummyRow = new Object[this.getColumnCount()];
for ( int y = 0; y <= this.getColumnCount(); ++y)
        {
                System.out.println("Column = " + y);
                dummyRow[y] = getColumnValue(y+1);
        }
...
,.,..

I think the column values are messed up. Let me work on it a little more.

Paul,

To answer your question, the getColumnValue method is invoked with y+1 as
the parameter. So if I pass 0, it should get me the first row. Atleast I
thought so... I am sure that there are some more bugs in the code.

Thank you both for pointing me in the right direction.

I was curious about these comments:

// If the column at which the value is requested is less than 0
// or if the column is greater than the number of columns, return nothing.

JDBC numbers the columns starting from 1, so what happens if column number
zero is requested? I didn't have the patience to go through the code to
find out.

Select * works in JDBC. I don't see anything wrong with your app. What
line of code took the exception? At that point what are the values for
pRow and pColumn?
