I have sent 20-megabyte attachments via JavaMail, using MS Exchange to send
the mail. How large does your attachment have to be to elicit this error?
I would look in your Exchange server for maximum attachment sizes first.

Is anyone aware of a size limit for emails with attachments?

I am sending using a windows exchange server but running the java on an
iSeries/AS400 and get the msg:

javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is:
javax.mail.MessagingException: 552 Message size exceeds fixed maximum
  message size java/lang/Throwable.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;)V+4

Any clues? Where would this fixed maximum be set?

Thanks in advance, Tim Fenton
