Mike, I have been using Struts for about a year now on the AS/400 and it works fine. Along with that I have been using Ant. The iSeries-toolkit at www.iseries-toolkit.org has a first cut at a native ant for the iSeries. I did a lot more work on Ant and need to get my latest version up to the iSeries-toolkit site. For what you are doing, you can get away with Ant pushing changes via FTP. You will need the optional jar and oro package. One problem is that the FTP package does not seem to process date comparisons properly. Fixing that is on my todo list and I will share that when if I find anything and you decide to go that route. What Servlet engine will will you be using? I would recommend you check out Tomcat as a standalone server. I would also recommend you look at Eclipse or NetBeans as a development platform. I lean toward Eclipse but if your team has experience with NetBeans it will work fine. If you need help setting up Tomcat, Struts, Eclipse, or Ant, I will try to help. I am pretty busy lately, but I know from experience that a quick overview of the setup can save a lot of time. We are creating the system in Java using JSP's and servlets. I am trying to get my hands around how we are going to manage the development and distribution of the project. I am looking into using the Struts framework, CVS for the source control, and Ant as the build tool. Does anyone have experience with Struts and Ant on the AS/400? Does Ant run on the 400 without modifications? Does the Struts framework work well on the 400? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions getting Struts implemented on the 400? Does anyone have any tips for distributing projects using Ant on the 400? Thanks! Mike
