Patrick,

The iSeries Db2 driver you loaded in VAJ will only run on the iSeries.  It
makes direct CLI db2 calls into OS400.
This "native" driver can give you better performance but will only run
directly on the iSeries  (it is not network enabled).

We typically develop in VAJ with the toolbox jdbc driver (type 4) and then
change our property files use use the native when running
on the 400.
