Dieter, As a Tomcat advocate, I am surprised you don't recommend Tomcat's connection pool support. It works very well on the iSeries and with the Toolbox drivers. I have only used Tomcat's connection pooling on the iSeries in a Tomcat 4.0.1 standalone installation.
