RPG using native IO cannot return a result-set. A result set is a purely SQL
concept, so an RPG program can only return a result set if it has embedded
SQL within it.

Not sure what your reasons are for not wanting to join the 5 tables - as
long as the primary file contains keys to the others, it should be a slow
running query, if that is your concern.
