1. Use the default AS400 c'tor ...
      AS400 system = new AS400();
That will connect you to the current system using the current job's
uid/pwd.

2. Same answer for Toolbox JDBC -- don't specify system name, uid or pwd
...
      connection = DriverManager.getConnection
("jdbc:as400://;prop1=value;prop2=value");

Don't forget to add the classes that extract the current job's uid/pwd to
your CLASSPATH.  Use /qibm/proddata/os400/jt400/lib/jt400Native.jar (v5r1
and later), or jt400.jar plus /QIBM/ProdData/Java400/jt400ntv.jar

All,

Two questions:

1. How do you connect to an AS/400 using the AS400 Toolbox object if you
are
running the code on the AS/400 and you want to connect as the current user?

   AS400 system = new AS400("localhost", ?, ?);

2. How do you connect to an AS/400 database using the Toolbox jdbc driver
and the native DB2 jdbc driver if you are running the code on the AS/400
and
you want to connect as the current user?
   Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("localhost", ?, ?);

Thanks,
Etienne
