Etienne,

The startup performance is pretty bad but once things
are running it is OK. I did work with this quite a bit to
build documents using Jdom. It worked fine for me but
my documents were small. Someone else that I
worked with to use JDom reported that his performance
was poor on large documents. I did not look at his code
so I can't say what caused the problem. Performance
problems when parsing large documents are common
regardless of language.

Has anybody used this concept in more than just a test program?

I was wondering what the performance is like as well as how the loading
of
the JVM works.
