Hi Mike. I wrote a routine that was a relatively "generic" user authentication process for a user to logon to a WebSphere application using any file on the iSeries to validate against. It wasn't hard to do in Studio using JDBC. We actually use this now as a component in any of our apps we build for customers that require validation for a user against an iSeries file. It eliminated the need to regsiter all users in an LDAP, Domino or iSeries directory which can be significant maintenance. In our case, our customers can let their potential users register over the web for application access using an id, predefined pin info etc....
