I had written an "SQL Manager" class that worked fine for statements but 
required some extra work for prepared
statements.  I had been putting it off doing the retro, so this little problem 
forced me to add prepared statement
functionality...

The whole thing works like a champ...  Thanks!!!

Use prepared statements with parameter placeholders.

"select * from table where name = ?"

when you then set the value of ? you use

stmt.setString(1,"It's not a problem");

The "'" will automatically be escaped correctly.
