VAJ resource question

Does anybody know the proper place for resource files like images, I put
them in the project resources  directory but when I export the code, it
doesn't use relative reference but instead places a "/" in front of the
path.

I guess I need to know if I can make this a dynamic reference instead of the
static root based one.  For my deployment I export the source and build the
jar file outside of VAJ and right now I need to edit my source after the
export and remove the "/".  This is time consuming.
