Folks:

I'm trying to determine if a certain version of java is installed ...
without actually invoking java.

Can anyone suggest an API or command that I can used to determine this?

I thought about using the DSPSFWRSC command, but the resource ID for java
isn't the same between our V4R3 & V5R0 boxes, so that wouldn't be a good
test.

Thanks!

david
