Can somebody clarify how this got fixed? I haven't asked about this yet. For right now, I use javac from Qsh to do my compiling, and I've had the same problem with creating a new AS/400 object when only using the system name. >From what I can tell, when you only use the system name, you are using one of the toolbox "optimizations" for java classes accessing the same AS/400 on which they are executing. This seems to be the problem for me - so far as I can tell. If I use "*CURRENT" for user and password (or use the constructor that only takes system name) I get this error. I've been pulling my hair out on this for a week because otherwise everything works just fine. I'm doing this to get the toolbox data queue optimization. I've tried several things with my Classpath, and I haven't had any success yet. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Check out Yahoo! Shopping and Yahoo!
