Now, you may just have a typo, but just from a quick glance, I think that the class name SHOULD be "javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory". Are you sure you don't have a typo? Also, the DocumentBuilderFactory is from the Xalan-Java package. Have you imported that package into VAJ? Joe
