Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I have observed that if I trap the error (using a Monmsg), it works
fine.
But it may not be possible to trap all the errors. Some errors cannot be
predicted. So is there any thing I can do in such cases?

Your CL program should monitor for the error message and deal with it ...
that way the program will not end in error.
