Although that certainly works, you do not have to stop/start your App
server, that is a bit heavy handed.  Right click your app server, and
select 'restart web app'.  Cloning really does not solve your situation.

Subject:  Websphere Appserver and the deployment of new servlet



I have created an Appserver instance called cnsapp and a webapp called
orderbk.  My Appserver and webapp is already running with a few servlets,
now I have added a new servlet called OrderBookInquiry2, do I have to stop
and start the Appserver to get the OrderBookInquiry2 servlet running?  I am
new to the Websphere Application server environment.  Stopping and starting
the Appserver is what I have been doing for last few servlets I've added.
Doing so, I caused an access outage on other webapps within Appserver.  I'm
interested in better methods to deploy new servlets.  Is Appserver cloning
the solution to this issue?
