The stream file has a CCSID of 819 ... but when I do a CPYFRMSTMF, I get the following results ... IFS file contains "SUCCESS" SRC-PF contains "DSG " I'm using the defaults on the CPYFRMSTMF command, as it's supposed to get the code page & CCSID from the actual objects. I would *EXPECT* that to do the conversion automatically. Am I wrong? david > -----Original Message----- > From: Joe Pluta [mailto:joepluta@PlutaBrothers.com] > Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2001 4:10 PM > To: JAVA400-L@midrange.com > Subject: RE: CPYFRMSTMF & Codepage > > > I use CCSID 819 for all my work, David. > > Joe > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: owner-java400-l@midrange.com > > [mailto:owner-java400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of David Gibbs > > Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2001 3:39 PM > > To: 'JAVA400 Mailing List' > > Subject: CPYFRMSTMF & Codepage > > > > > > Folks: > > > > I've got a java program, running on the 400, that is > creating a file in > > '/tmp'. > > > > I want to copy that file from the IFS into a source > physical file ... does > > anyone know the correct code page to use. > > > > Thanks! > +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
