By the way, this has been in the product all along (since 3.0.2 GA'd). I mentioned it in the soundoff, but did not get the chance to talk to you in detail about. Also there are some caveats (or less than attractive parts to it). 1). The customer needs to make sure they have the correct, required IBM JDK version/level. You generally get this from the workstation CD (especially in 3.5). Maarten - for your case, 3.0.2.x, you should be able to obtain the JDK 1.1.7 or 1.1.8 (if you are at 3.0.2.2 or higher) from http://www-105.ibm.com/developerworks/tools.nsf/dw/java-devkits-byname?OpenDocument&Count=100. Obtaining IBM JDK 1.2 may be a bit more problematic (I can't find it on the page just listed). 2). I am not certain if FixPacks will install over this method of obtaining the admin console. However, you can just put the WebSphere for iSeries group PTF on your system, re-run setupClients and then overlay your current admin console with the newly generated one. To update your 3.5 JDK installation, you can use the FixPack (which ships with the group PTF as of 3.0.2.3 and 3.5.2 - see release notes), but it might not be straight-forward. I'll be interested to test it as soon as I get WebSphere 3.5 installed.
