JTOpen is the open source version of the Toolbox. There are two versions of the Toolbox -- the licensed program and JTOpen. The code/function is the same, difference is support. Fixes come faster to JTOpen and you have the source so you can create/suggest your own fixes. iSeries customer support will not support you if you use JTOpen. You get support via the JTOpen forum. To get offical support you have to use the licensed program.
