If I understand you correctly a simple call to "WRKMSGD MSGF(QSQLMSG)" on an AS/400 command line does the trick. You can position to the error-code in question. In your case it probably is SQL0204 ( "SQL", zero, two, zero, four ) aposed to SQLO204 ( "SQLO", two, zero, four ). I hope that helps you. regards Marc Cent ______________________________ DAKOSY Datenkommunikationssystem AG Mattentwiete 2, 20457 Hamburg mailto:cent@dakosy.de ______________________________ Glenn Holmer <gholmer@weycogroup.com> Sent by: owner-java400-l@midrange.com 12.03.01 14:57 Please respond to JAVA400-L To: Java400 mailing list <JAVA400-L@midrange.com> cc: Subject: SQL error codes How do I find the error message that goes along with an SQL error code?
