Opps! Pressed SEND to quick.

It requires an integer (or another primitive that will convert to a
>integer<). Talking to C programmers, this is a performance issue.
Javascript has no notion of typing, so "anything goes". C# is suppose to
allow Strings for the switch statement. I much prefer the RPG
Select-When-Other construct to the C-style switch-case-default structure.

Subject: switch on String?

Is there an equivalent switch statment that can be used on a string?

Something like:

switch(string)
{
  case "X": blah; break;
  case "Z": blahblah; break;
}

Seems it requires int. Javascript doesn't. ;)
