Aaron,

In order for Java to allow the Student.getStudentID() notation, the method
would need to be defined as static in the Student class definition. This
would be OK if you only ever needed a single instance of Student, but if you
had more than one, how would Student.getStudentID() know which to supply.
Also, the StudentId property is probably generated by the constructor for
the class which is only called when an object is instantiated.
