Not sure if this will help, but have you read through the Save and Restore considerations in the 3.02 documentation (take links Administration->Managing WebSphere Application Server->Save and Restore WebSphere Application Server)? It provides some recommendations on what to backup. I am pretty sure the logs directory of your WebSphere instance is not included - in general I would recommend against saving the logs directory. I am thinking particularly of any standard excludes that people are putting on their SAV commands. Thanks Mandy ****** We are finding that some of the files used by WebSphere are in use and thus preventing our daily and weekly backups from completing normally. The files are as follows: /QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv/default/logs/UKELCBP604FL.104_native.log.was-oop.Tu e-Dec -19-16.32.55-2000 /QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv/default/logs/adminserver_native.log.was-oop.Tue-Dec -19-1 6.01.27-2000 /QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv/default/logs/default_server_native.log.was-oop.Tue- Dec-1 9-16.03.34-2000 The easiest way to prevent a problem is to shutdown WebSphere during the backups; however, this could present a problem with availability of the application at some future date. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Catalyst Solutions plc.
