Title: RE: DB2/400 for EntityBeans(CMP)

You should have a look at the Visual Age Developer Domain
http://www.software.ibm.com/vadd

They may have some information about it.

I've used the toolbox to access data from an EJB (CMP) from the
websphere test environment in Visual Age and the loading of the
data was fast.

You should also have a look at some "trick" when using jar files:
- avoid long class path --> searches are slower
- reduce jar file size. The virtual machine loads all the content of the jar file.
There is another jar file containing only the access files (jt400.jar
also contains swing components).

You also look at the constraints on the as400 side.
Eg: a table accessed by an EJB must be journalized. There might be
some services running, that may be launched each time you access a table,
and that possibly could be launch for once (i don't know, but be sure
everything is also ok on the as400)
