We use a product called Compleo, from Symtrax ( HTTP://www.symtrax.com ) It is 
very easy to use and easily converts splf's into HTML, RTF, TXT and PDF's. You 
can down load a trial and see if it works for you.

        What is the best way to display a spoolfile as a html document? I
was thinking of converting the spoolfile into a physical file and writing
them out. If there is a better way or suggestions, please let  me know

How about the SpoolFileViewer class in the AS/400 Java toolkit:  JT400?
It should be a good start ....
You can go to the AS/400 Java web site and get information on the 
toolkit which is available for free as a download......
