I had the same problem when running JDK1.1.8 and the older Servlet API(not
sure version). It seems that the; HttpSession session =
req.getSession(false); always returns a null. I eliminated checking the
session for null and just checked to see if the value was returned or
null(since I was expecting it). Your code would catch that in the:
// Retrieve Session Information Object
sessInfo = (SessionInfo)
session.getValue(Constants.SESSIONKEY);
if (sessInfo == null) {
// Redirect to Log in page if not already logged in
res.sendRedirect("/olr/reglogout.html");
System.out.println(" sessInfo is null");
} // End SessionInfo Object
The problem is your're never getting to this line of code because the session
always returns null.
When I run the new Servlet v.2.2, the null session seems to work...
