Architecture of a Full Java System on the As400

Hi ,
I'm a RPG programmer that knows Java. I have been given an opportunity to
redesign and rewrite a system on the AS400 in Java. I would just like to
know what would be the best way to design this system . Do I just use java
for the clients and call rpg or java on the As400 ? or do I use jsp's and
web browser or just applications on the client ?? or am I missing the boat
here ??

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated .
