hi

I need some help in Websphere and DB2/400

We are bascially trying to webenable a existing legacy application on the 
AS/400, plus some addtional e-mailing facilities.
We are using servlets and Websphere as the application server, the 
architecture set up is

Websphere application server on a netfinity running NT
and the database is on the As/400 V4R2

My question is
1. How can i create a file to store the emails ,and the data type on the 
as/400 and how can i convert it to the java data type.

any help on this will be greatly appriciated.
