Before applying latest CUM package for V4R5 we used to specify CLASSPATH on JAVAC and JAVA commands just to point to JT400.JAR and my application classes but now I get error messages saying Java IO package and other utilities packages not found. We called IBM AS/400 Support Line and they told us that it is according to Sun Specifications and it is supposed to work like that. Now we have to point to RT.JAR for Java IO stuff on JAVAC and JAVA commands. But on UNIX and DOS we do not have to point to RT.JAR. Is it a bug in IBM implementation? Or that is the way it is supposed to work?
