Unfortunately printing in Java and on the AS/400 are
two different things...
If you
want to create AS/400 spooled files using java you can use the print support
from
the
AS/400 toolbox for Java. You'll find classes to create, delete, view spoolfiles
on the AS/400...
(I
still prefer to generate spoolfiles on the AS/400 using RPGIV. It's the easiest
way on the AS/400)
If you
want to create spoolfiles under WindowsNT you can use printing support from the
JDK.
You'll
find a section dedicated to print support in the Java2dguide. (Chapter 7)
You'll
find classes like PrintJob, Book, PageFormat, ... to help you create the
desired output
I
don't know if you'll have this support on the AS/400 with
JDK1.2
You'll
have to ask this at the guys of the Toronto Lab...
