I cannot get the following statement past the compiler using QSH or Visual
Age for Java. Why? This code comes directly out of the IBM Readbook
SG24-2163-02 "Building AS/400 Applications with Java".
#sql {select IA101
into :itemtx
from ICPRTMIA
where IAPRT# = :itemNo};
The error message:
"An error occurred parsing a type declaration due to invalid
character. The type could not be saved."
My imports "compile" correctly:
import java.sql.*;
import sqlj.runtime.*;
import sqlj.runtime.ref.*;
import sqlj.runtime.ref.DefaultContext;
My AS400 CLASSPATH is in a .profile as:
CLASSPATH=.:/home/DSTRICKLAN/AS400JT/lib/jt400.zip:/home/DSTRICKLAN/AS400JT/
utilities:/QIBM/PRODDATA/JAVA400/EXT/RUNTIME.ZIP:/QIBM/PRODDATA/JAVA400/EXT/
TRANSLATOR.ZIP
