  • Subject: How to define the CLASSPATH on the AS400?
  • From: "Hitesh Magudia" <hitesh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I have recently started writing simple Java programs on the AS400
using QSH, but have encoutereted the following problem.

I written to following code:-

    import com.ibm.as400.access.*;

    public class AS400Connect
    {

        public static void main (String args[ ])
        {
            AS400 Cobalt = new AS400 ();

        }
    }

When I attempt to compile the code, I get the error

    'Class AS400 not found in type declaration.'

I believe this is caused by the CLASSPATH not being defined correctly.

Therefore I how do I difine the CLASSPATH, so that the compiler can
find the necessary classes.

Thankyou in advace.

Hitesh
