The AS400 Toolbox for Java has some classes that sound like what you want.
Have you looked at those? See
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/ic2924/info/java/rzahh/toolbox
.htm

From the left-hand frame, expand GUI Classes and then take the JDBC link.

Subject: Tabular Grid equivalent of Developer 2000 in Java

Hi All

Are there any specific classes in Java which could be used to present the
resultset(consisting of several coulumns and several rows) of a database
query in Tabular grid like form with a scrollbar(just like Developer 2000),
to the front end user using AWT components.
Is it that for every column of the resultset, a seperate
AWT object like TextArea / TextField etc. has to be used.

Pl. suggest any appropriate method.

Anshul
