Thanks for the info.
It turns out that no more PTFs were installed since yesterday, but we did do
an IPL. It seem that the IPL has caused the problem to go away.

My guess is it may have been related to package support or database caching-
but who knows. We applied many PTFs a couple days ago, but we IPL'd after
those were applied.

Had another weird problem today very briefly. I was testing some java code
that does a query. THe quesy was working fine, results fine, etc. I thnk I
left a connection open and then made a change to the query, and ran another
instance with the changed query (using the same package). The data came back
completely garbled. I deleted the package and tried again and everything was
fine..
