Alex, you are correct. Toolbox mod 1 will work back to a v3r2 AS/400. You
need an AS/400 PTF and you need to do a little setup, but that is
documented in the Setup portion of the Programmer's Guide.

Subject: rec level i/o from pc to v3r2

I need a sanity check from some kind soul in the group. An acquaintance of
mine in the UK wants to access data on his v3r2 system from his pc using
the tool box record level i/o. I swear I have done this before back in
1998. As I remember it you can use either the mod0 or mod1 toolbox to do
record level i/o. In fact the troubleshooting section on the toolbox
website has instructions on what to do for rec level i/o prior to v4r1.

Question is: Am I correct that mod0 or mod1 will work to access data using
rec i/o to a v3r2 system?
