VA Java Version 3.0 has two sets of CDs: Standard Edition (Professional or Enterprise) includes JDK 1.1.7A and Swing 1.0.3 Early Adopters (Professional or Enterprise) includes Java 2 as a Technology Preview, and hence does not include all the features/components of VA Java. David Wall AS/400 Toolbox for Java I was under the impression that Visual Age 3.0, did support Java 1.2(or 2.0) and that you could access the new Swing Classes. I just received my copy in the mail today, so I guess I will find out real soon. If the new version of Visual Age does not support Java 1.2 and the new Swing classes, I will not be in such a hurry to upgrade. Anyone else out there have any ideas? -----Original Message----- From: owner-java400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-java400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Glenn Holmer Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 1999 1:25 PM To: JAVA400-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Java Foundation Class. Or maybe just make the leap to Java 2? How is this sort of thing usually handled in VisualAge, with a new release, or on the Developer Connection? Also, Borland used to have a version of JBuilder called JBuilder/400, which seems to have vanished. Does anybody know about that? +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +--- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
